Modern Baked Products was established in 1955 as Modern Italian Bakery, a retail bakery in Long Island, New York. Over 3,500 customers in the New York City area
have come to savor our fresh tasting hearth baked
bagels and breads.


As demand grew for our authentic hearth baked breads Modern Baked Products was born. Modern Baked Products moved into a larger facility with a focus on baking truly authentic hearth baked breads under the Liberty Hearth name. Liberty Hearth captures the Old World tradition in everything we bake. From our bagels, to artisan breads to Kaiser rolls and hoagies, you can taste the flavor as if you were back it time.

Today, with the Liberty Hearth brand, Modern Baked Products operates a 60,000 square foot bakery facility in Oakdale, New York. We offer a large variety of hearth baked breads to foodservice and in-store bakeries and also offer daily fresh delivery. We specialize in customized products tailored to meet the needs of your bread program.

Baking Authentic
Hearth Breads

Baking authentic hearth breads is an extensive process but the flavor and texture that results is unbeatable. First the bread dough is kneaded using only premium ingredients. Then our hearth breads go through a fermentation process for up to twenty four hours before proofing. After proofing, the breads are baked directly on the hearth for authentic texture with unmatched flavor and taste.
